Read this first. Every value on this page is typical or indicative for the 1000cc 4×4 UTV / side-by-side class, compiled for dealer workshops. Yangtze Moto Export is an export company, not the manufacturer. The owner’s and service manual supplied with each unit prevails wherever it differs; where a value is not printed in your manual, use these as a starting point and confirm by inspection.

Fluids & capacities
| Engine oil | 10W-40 JASO MA / SL; ≈ 2.8–3.5 L |
| Front differential | 80W-90 GL-5; ≈ 0.25–0.35 L |
| Rear gearbox / diff | 80W-90 GL-5; ≈ 0.3–0.5 L |

| Brake fluid | DOT 4 |
| CVT | Dry — never oil the belt or pulleys |
Break-in
- 0–10 hours / 300 km: vary throttle, avoid full-throttle, avoid towing.
- CVT belt break-in: 50 km of gentle on/off throttle so the belt beds to the sheaves — this alone prevents most early belt failures.
- First service at 10–20 hours / 500 km: engine oil + filter, diff oils, check CVT belt deflection and pulley faces, re-torque wheel nuts, A-arm bolts and skid plates, check CV boots.
Maintenance schedule
| Item | First | Then every | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engine oil & filter | 10–20 h / 500 km | Every 100 h / 2,500 km or 6 months | |
| Front & rear diff / gearbox oil | 500 km | Every 200 h / 5,000 km or yearly | |
| CVT belt | 500 km inspect | Inspect every 50 h; replace at cracks/glazing or ≈ 3,000–5,000 km hard use | Clean the CVT housing when the belt is out |
| CVT intake filter / vents | — | Every 25 h in dust/sand | |
| Air filter | — | Every 25 h in sand; replace 100 h | |
| Valve clearance | 500 km | Every 200 h / 5,000 km | |
| Spark plugs | — | 200 h | |
| CV boots & drive shafts | 500 km | Inspect every 50 h | |
| Wheel nuts | 50 km | Re-torque every 50 h | |
| Coolant / brake fluid | — | 2 years | |
| Suspension bushings / ball joints | — | Grease every 50 h (zerks fitted) |
Halve intervals for dust, sand, taxi/cargo duty or track use.

| Diff drain / fill plugs | ≈ 15–20 Nm |
| Note | Indicative values for this class of machine. Use the value printed in the supplied manual if it differs. |
Tire pressures
| 26–28" utility tires | 0.7–1.0 bar (10–14 psi) all round; sand 0.5–0.7 bar |
| Road / hardpack | 1.0–1.2 bar |
Common issues
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Will not start; dash lights but no crank | Battery low, brake pedal not pressed (interlock), gear not in P/N, seat-belt interlock on some models. | Charge battery; press brake; confirm P/N; check seat-belt switch plug under the seat. |
| CVT belt slips / burning smell | Belt not bedded, water in the CVT case, or oil contamination from a leaking seal. | Bed the belt (50 km gentle); drain CVT housing via the drain plug at the bottom; clean pulleys with brake cleaner; replace belt if glazed. |
| Overheats at low speed | Radiator mud-packed, fan fuse/relay, air lock. | Pressure-wash the radiator from the engine side; check the 30 A fan fuse; bleed. |
| 4WD will not engage / diff-lock light flashes | Actuator plug off, vacuum/electric actuator stuck, or engaging while rolling. | Engage 4WD at standstill or rolling straight below 5 km/h; check the actuator connector on the front diff; cycle the switch 3× with the key on. |
| Clunk on take-off | Driveshaft splines dry or U-joint play. | Grease splines; check U-joints — claimable if loose on PDI. |
| Steering pulls / wanders | Toe out of spec after shipping tie-downs; tie-rod ends loose. | Set toe to ≈ 0–3 mm toe-in; torque tie-rod nuts; check EPS connector if fitted. |
| Fault code on EFI | Connector loosened in transit. | Read via diagnostic port (kit available); reseat connectors under the hood and seat. |

Tools & safety
Workshop tools
- Metric sockets to 36 mm; impact wrench
- Torque wrench to 200 Nm
- CVT clutch puller (model-specific)
- Grease gun
- Coolant pressure tester
- Diagnostic reader
- Floor jack & stands rated 1 t
Safety notes
- Never run the engine with the CVT cover off.
- Support on stands, not the jack, when working under the vehicle.
- ROPS bolts: torque on assembly and re-check at first service — this is a life-safety item.
