How we earn
Two pricing models, one worked container, and the list of things we will not do for money. Everything on this page is repeated as a line on your quote.

The two models
| Model | Our fee | How money flows | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sourcing commission | 5–8% of the factory invoice (vehicles and parts) | You see the factory proforma; you pay the factory or pay through us with the factory invoice attached; our commission is a separate line | Repeat orders, or when you want to know and contract the factory yourself |
| All-in FOB (trading) | 10–15% on vehicles · 25–40% on parts, inside one FOB price | One invoice from us for the whole container; we buy from several factories and sell you one consolidated shipment | First containers, mixed orders from 3+ factories, dealers who want one counterpart |
The commission range depends on order size and how many factories are involved: 8% on a small first order across four factories, 5% on a repeat 40HQ from two. The markup range works the same way. Whichever model applies, ocean freight, insurance and third-party fees are passed through at cost.

What the fee includes
- Factory sourcing & negotiation. Shortlisting the factories that accept your quantities, checking licences, negotiating price and lead time in Chinese, in person.
- 18-point PDI on video, per VIN. Every unit started, run through gears, brakes and electrics checked, filmed before crating; videos sent before the container seals.
- Consolidation & loading. Collection from several factories to one loading point, crate check, layer-by-layer loading photos, container seal number in your file.
- Export documents. Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading instructions, certificate of origin application, factory technical sheets with VIN and engine numbers.
- After-sales liaison. Warranty claims and parts orders handled with the factory on your behalf for the agreed period, in English or Spanish.
What costs extra (always at cost, always shown first)
- Third-party inspection (SGS / BV / TÜV). Booked at cost if you want an independent report on top of our PDI; typically US$300–600 per man-day plus travel.
- Sample units by courier or air. Freight at cost; a single crated 450 by air is expensive (US$900–1,800 depending on destination), so we usually suggest a sea sample in a shared container.
- Certification work. Emissions or type-approval testing for markets that need it (INEN, SASO, NOM, ECE) is quoted separately by the certifying lab; we coordinate, we do not mark it up.
- Ocean freight & insurance. Passed through at the forwarder’s rate. You may also nominate your own forwarder.
What we refuse to do
- Take 100% upfront to an unverified account, or change bank details mid-deal. First orders run on deposit plus balance against PDI evidence, or escrow.
- Supply unbranded copies of protected designs, or bikes with another brand’s badges. If a factory offers it, we decline the factory.
- Promise type approval or road registration we cannot document. We tell you what the factory can actually issue before you pay.
- Invent reviews, client logos, certifications or a founding year. We started in 2026; you are reading the real history.
- Bury our margin in “freight and handling”. The fee is one line on the quote, and freight is passed through at cost.
FAQ
- Which model is cheaper for me?
- On a first container the trading (all-in FOB) model is usually simpler: one invoice, one counterpart, and the price already includes PDI and consolidation. Once you know the factories and place repeat orders above roughly 30 units of a model, the commission model becomes cheaper because our 5–8% sits on top of a price you can verify with the factory directly.
- Does the factory price you show me equal what the factory invoices?
- Under the commission model, yes: you see the factory’s proforma, pay the factory (or pay through us with the factory invoice attached), and our commission is a separate line. Under the trading model you see one FOB price per line; the margin range on this page tells you what is inside it.
- Is the parts markup not too high?
- Fast-moving parts at Chongqing wholesale are cheap enough that even with a 25–40% markup they land at a third to a half of destination retail. Ordering them with the bikes also saves you a second shipment. We show the per-item price so you can check.
- Do you charge if I do not order?
- No. Quotes, container plans and landed-cost estimates are free. Factory visits during CIMAMotor are free. We charge only when an order is placed, or if you commission a paid inspection or sample.
- What happens if the factory raises its price after I confirm?
- The proforma fixes the price for its validity period (usually 14–30 days). If raw-material cost changes after that, we show you the factory’s new proforma; we do not adjust our fee upward on a confirmed order.
