Container arrival checklist
The first 48 hours after the container lands decide whether a transit-damage claim is provable and whether a warranty claim is clean. Work through this in order and photograph as you go.

1 · Before opening (photograph everything)
- Seal number matches the loading report and B/L: ________ (photo with number legible)
- Seal intact, no signs of tampering; door hinges and locking bars undamaged
- Container exterior: dents, holes, water marks photographed
- If seal or container is compromised: do not open; call your broker, insurer and us before proceeding
2 · Opening and unloading
- Photo of the doors opening and the first visible layer, compared with the last loading photo
- Crates removed layer by layer; each crate photographed before it is moved
- Shifted, crushed or wet crates photographed in place before handling

4 · Damage claim, if any (within 3 days of delivery)
- Written notice to the carrier / forwarder with photos, noted on the delivery receipt
- Notice to the cargo insurer; survey requested if damage exceeds the policy threshold
- Copy of PDI video and loading photos for the affected VIN pulled from our report (proves pre-loading condition)
- Damaged crates and packaging retained until the surveyor releases them
5 · Destination PDI (within 48 hours per unit)
- Battery reconnected and charged; voltage ________
- Front wheel, handlebar, mirrors fitted; fasteners torqued per platform guide
- Fluids to level; fuel added
- Tyre pressures set
- Cold start; idle; run 5 min; no leaks
- Lights, horn, indicators, brake light, instruments
- Brakes and ABS lamp; chain tension
- Fault-code read (EFI models)
- Road kit / accessories fitted as ordered
- Documents and keys present
